Driss Jettou's term recorded the highest average growth of any government since 1998, unemployment fell from 11.3% in 2002 to 9.8% in 2007, and central government debt declined .
But the appointment of a technocrat despite the USFP winning the 2002 election was seen as a "departure from democratic methodology", and the term ended with the lowest turnout on record (37%) . We have not yet documented numeric pledges for this government from a reliable source.
