- Istiqlal Party
Morocco's oldest active party, born from the independence movement, which issued the 1944 Manifesto of Independence. It has sat in most governments since 1998 and led the Government in 1958 and 2007.
- Authenticity and Modernity Party
Founded in 2008, it spent a decade in opposition before entering government in 2021, then won the 2026 election with 97 seats.
- National Rally of Independents
Founded in 1978 by "independent" MPs, it has sat in most governments since 1998, won the 2021 election and led the Government, then slipped to second place in 2026.
- Justice and Development Party
An Islamist-oriented party that led the Government for ten years (2012–2021), collapsed to 13 seats in 2021 and made a strong comeback with 54 seats in 2026.
- Popular Movement
Founded in 1957 with a rural and Amazigh base, it has been a near-permanent government partner without ever leading. It won 29 seats in 2026.
- Socialist Union of Popular Forces
The leading social-democratic party, heir to the National Union of Popular Forces. It led the Alternance government in 1998 before a long electoral decline.
- Party of Progress and Socialism
Heir to the Moroccan Communist Party (1943), a small party with outsized political influence; in government from 1998 to 2019, it achieved its best result in 2021 (22 seats).
- Constitutional Union
Founded by Prime Minister Maati Bouabid in 1983, it won the 1984 and 1993 elections before gradually declining to 17 seats in 2026.
- Democratic and Social Movement
Founded in 1996, it won 32 seats in its first election (1997), declined sharply, then recovered somewhat to 8 seats in 2026.
- Left Alliance
An electoral alliance formed on 3 June 2026 by the Federation of the Democratic Left and the Unified Socialist Party, heir to the OADP. It won 8 seats in 2026.
- Front of Democratic Forces
Split from the PPS in 1997, it reached 12 seats in 2002 before shrinking to a marginal presence (2 seats in 2026).
- National Union of Popular Forces
The left wing that split from Istiqlal in 1959; it led the opposition in the 1960s, and its main wing became the USFP in 1975.
- National Popular Movement
Founded by Mahjoubi Aherdane in 1991 after he was pushed out of the Popular Movement’s leadership; it merged back into it in 2006.
- Front for the Defence of Constitutional Institutions
A pro-palace coalition founded by Ahmed Reda Guedira in 1963; it won the first legislative election and broke up after the 1965 state of exception.
- Party of New Democrats
Founded in 2014 by political scientist Mohamed Darif; it won its first seat in 2026.
- Party of Unity and Democracy
A small party that describes itself as part of the "national democratic camp", with one seat in the 2011, 2016 and 2026 parliaments.
- Party of Equity
A small party that entered the House of Representatives with two seats in 2026 after being absent from the 2021 parliament.
